The floating minnow is a proven backcountry pattern. Snook and Tarpon alike can't resist this one. The Floating minnow will push water but will be much more subtle than a popper. This will get the fish's attention but not be too noisy when you are tucked back in those silent creeks. Fished with a long leader and thrown up into the mangroves will induce violent strikes that are very exciting to see.
