Fishing Report July 2nd
Greetings Compleat Anglers, and from all the staff here at the shop, we wish you a Happy Holiday Weekend! Here is the fishing report for 4th of July Weekend! Our rivers, lakes and ponds are in full summer conditions, so it pays to check ahead to ascertain water levels, temperatures and hatching activity.
Fishing Report June 25th
Greetings Compleat Anglers! Trout fishing is very much under summer conditions, with some rivers being too low and warm to fish effectively and other rivers still fishing well. This week Catskill rivers were a mixed bag.

Fishing Report June 1
Greetings Compleat Anglers! Here is the fishing report for June 1st. Fishing has remained strong in Connecticut and Catskill rivers and in Long Island Sound, but fresh-water anglers should pay close attention to river conditions and water temperatures in both Catskill and Connecticut rivers.
Fishing Report May 14th
Here's the Fishing Report for May 14th. Connecticut and Catskill NY rivers are in great shape. The recent rains (with a little more scheduled today) have kept flows at a healthy level while still allowing for good wading and floating. On the Farmington and Housatonic, there have been Hendricksons, Rusty Spinners, BWOs, and especially caddis (both olive and tan.)
Fishing Report May 11th
Greetings Compleat Anglers! Finally the sun has broken through once again! With warmer air temperatures, there should be some great fishing weather over the next couple of weeks. Both Connecticut and Catskill rivers are in great shape and nicely wadeable. Water temperatures are still in the high 40's through the low 50's, so perfect for both dry and nymph activity.
Fishing Report May 5th
Greetings Compleat Anglers! Here is your Fishing Report for May 5th. Trout fishing in Connecticut and Catskill rivers has been great over the past week. Overcast, cool and showery weather has the bugs up in good numbers and the fish are definitely on them.
Fishing Report April 29th
Greetings Compleat Anglers! Despite the chilly weather and occasional rain, trout fishing has been very good! All Connecticut and New York Catskill rivers are down and wadeable with good clarity. Generally there have been good bugs and the fish are on them.
Fishing Report April 23rd
The Fishing Report for April 23rd: Trout fishing has continued to be good in both Connecticut and NY Catskill waters over the past week. Water levels in all rivers are ideal for wading, and water clarity and temperatures have been perfect.
Fishing Report April 19th
Greetings Compleat Anglers! Here’s the Fishing Report for April 19th. Hope your weekend was great and filled with fresh air, sun and tight lines! Fishing in Connecticut and Catskill trout rivers has been spotty to very good. The bright sun and generally clear waters has made the fish a bit spooky in some places.
Fishing Report April 15th
As the weather continues to improve, fishing conditions on Connecticut and Catskill rivers should be just about perfect for this coming weekend. There are Hendrickson hatches on both the Farmington and Housatonic rivers in Connecticut, and in all branches of the Delaware River in New York as well.
Fishing Report April 14th
Spring weather is finally back again! Weather through the coming weekend looks ideal, with calm days and air temps in the 60s and 70s for both Connecticut and Catskill rivers. Hatches on all rivers are about two weeks ahead, with Hendricksons showing on all the major rivers and the fish are keying in on them.
