Traditionally, splitting thread required flattening the thread and carefully piercing it with a fine needle—an especially difficult task when working with ultra‑thin threads. The SMHAEN Thread Splitter eliminates that guesswork entirely. Its smooth shaft and precision‑shaped knob guide the thread fibers apart effortlessly, whether you’re working with fine or heavier single‑ply threads. Engineered with the same attention to detail found across SMHAEN tools, the splitter features a flat‑sided handle that prevents rolling on the bench and delivers excellent control in hand.
Features
- Function: Cleanly splits single‑ply fly tying thread into two strands
- Precision Design: Smooth shaft and rounded knob guide fibers apart without snagging
- Build Quality: Precision‑machined components for durability and repeatable results
